WEEK FIVE

This summer at Lake and Land Studio I have several ongoing projects, as well as several new projects I will be working on. I am currently working on the Pearce project. This is an ongoing project that I have been designing for several months now. I am currently waiting on the bid from the contractor which will help to give me a more fine tuned budget which I will use to finalize the design and specs for the home.

Along with the ongoing Pearce project I have also been conducting design consultations along with the architecture team to meet with prospective clients, as well as get the design process started with clients. I have also been doing interiors for some of our supply plan models that will be put on the website and Instagram.

I am also tasked this summer with having a managerial role and learning to have a person who directly reports to me. This has been an ongoing challenge of learning how to delegate tasks. I have had to learn how to take note of her strong suits and use these to give her tasks that fit her skills.

Another task that I have been working on, and will continue to be an ongoing task is setting up trade accounts. I am currently working on setting up accounts with various manufacturers and vendors as well as creating relationships with these companies. I have also been ordering samples and binders to create an interiors library that I can utilize while designing.
